IEE don't seem to know the difference between Engineers and Scientists. They prefer to promote Scientists.
If IEEE are catering for other categories, i.e., scientists etc., then they should change their name, because they are implying that Engineer = Scientist.
An Engineer is NOT a Scientist and vice versa unless he/she has the necessary qualifications. Confusion over these titles is diluting efforts in promoting Engineering and in protecting the interests of Engineers.

Engineers Ireland don't know the difference between 'Engineers' and 'Technicians' and 'Handymen'. They cater for Technicians under the banner of 'Engineers'. They advertise jobs for so-called Engineers (Repairmen) and are operating more like a 'Tradesmen Organization' advertising jobs for Machinists, Boilermakers, Mechanics, Fitters, Apprentice Electricians, etc., on their so-called professional website. As Per their jobs section, they accept a "Certificate" as a qualification for Engineers.
As well, "Engineers Ireland" is promoting Engineering asTechnology. I expect that soon they will be calling Engineers "Technologists".

Engineering Council - UK (ECUK)
They think that Plumbers are Engineers and never seem to have heard of the word Ethics. They classify Technicians as 'Engineers' on their website.

Scientists and Engineers For America (SEA)
SEA are taking Engineers for Mugs. The only interest they have in Engineers is their support, so as to increase membership numbers.They don't seem to have ever heard of Engineering!
SEFORA support the agenda of Corporate American and Academia with the propaganda of needing MORE and MORE Engineers // Scientists even when there are hundreds of thousands that are UNDER-employed or worse still UN-employed!!
